Real-Life Learning That Works

SABRE is currently used in leading business schools worldwide. It offers unmatched flexibility and opportunity for customization. Professors teaching MBA and Executive Education programs are invited to license SABRE for use in their programs.

In contrast to lectures and case studies, a SABRE simulation requires the student to put into practice the principles of business strategy in a competitive situation. Decisions must be made in teams, and 4-9 rounds of decisions ensure that the concepts are not only used, but internalized. This ensures a learning experience with lasting value, and also provides a setting to practice business strategy without generating potentially expensive real-life consequences.

A SABRE simulation is well suited to learning objectives that include segmentation, positioning, new product launches, advertising, product portfolio management, sales force strategy and the allocation of limited resources.

IIBD's SABRE simulations are available to business school instructors for use in both degree-granting programs and executive education programs, with different licensing rates for each.

SABRE currently is offered as a Windows application, with separate instructor and particpant versions, and has the advantage of not being reliant on internet connectivity which can be an issue in certain venues. A web-based version is currently under development. If you have an interest in becoming an early user of the web-based version, please contact us.
