IIBD’s SABRE™ business simulation is in a class by itself within the world of business simulation. It helps you as a professor prepare your students for the real-world of marketing strategy allowing your students to put into practice principles of marketing strategy discussed in your classroom sessions. SABRE™ draws on the latest research and best practices across a breadth of industries, providing a hard-hitting, practical, intensive, and transformative experience.

Professors who have used other strategy simulations in the past invariably tell us that this one sets the standard for excellence. SABRE™ gives your students a real world business experience where they must manage everything from R&D through to product launch, pricing, sales force management, production and eventual product withdrawal. In addition to all the above they need to manage their portfolio of products and or services in the face of very real competition provided by other teams playing the SABRE™ simulation.

To assist students with their decision making tools like Portfolio analysis, Perceptual maps, Conjoint analysis are built into the software and may be turned on or off as you wish. Additionally data generated in SABRE™ can be downloaded to Excel where students can run other macros built to assist with decision making.

SABRE™ itself can be programmed to look like many market places. Market files tell SABRE how many segments the market will have - if those segments will split or merge, how fast they will grow or shrink over time etc. As a professor you can choose a market files used by other business schools or work with us to customize a Market File for your specific teaching needs.

Fees for the SABRE™ business simulation are $60 per student for degree-granting programs. Student can pay individually on our web site using a credit card or schools can be invoiced for the class. Fees include the license fee for the SABRE™ software, electronic downloads of the pre-reading case study, the student and admin guides and PowerPoint slides for the simulation intro. Students upload and download data from our website meaning we handle all your administration.
