Carolyn Luo founded our SABRE Simulation Business in China with Cam Tipping. She is responsible for operations and business development in China. SABRE simulations have been widely used in both Fortune 500 companies and large firms in China.
Before co-founding our SABRE business in China, Carolyn worked in FMCG/Retail industry, before moving on to a career at CEIBS (China European Industry Business School). During her time at CEIBS, she focused on E-learning and training.
Carolyn is very sensitive to new market practices and industry insights, with experience in 1-on-1 business insights interviews, people assessment, training program design and management. She is a highly regarded speaker and facilitates various programs for clients.
In the Pharm/Device market, she has worked with Pfizer, Roche, GSK, Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, Boehringer-Ingelheim, MSD, Bayer, UCB, Eisai (Japan), Takeda (Japan), Sino Pharm, China Resources Pharm, 3Sbio and some other companies. SABRE is now considered as one of the top 3 training companies for senior level executives in the Pharmaceutical industry.
In the FMCG market, Carolyn has worked with Coca-cola, Danone, Meadjohnson, Mars/Wrigley, Yili Dairy, China Resources Group, Orion (Korea), Wilmar-intl. (Singapore), and Abbott.
Dr. Xin Fu has 20 years’ experience in business education as an academic and practitioner. She is a seasoned trainer, instruction designer, case writer and business researcher. Xin Fu has a Master’s in Adult Education from University of Alberta and a Master’s in Management Research from IESE Business School in Spain. Xin Fu holds a Ph.D. in (EDIT – IN WHAT??)
Dr. Xin Fu has delivered training sessions to over 1000 managers from various industries. Her clients include Sina.com, Colgate, P & G and Johnson & Johnson. As a case writer, she wrote more than 20 teaching cases which are still heavily used in MBA/ EMBA programs in many top business schools worldwide. In 2012 one of her cases won the EFMD case competition, winning over submissions from Harvard, Wharton, IMD and Ivey. She’s an expert in combining IT technology with educational practice and developed the first multi-media interactive case in China.
As a business scholar, Xin Fu is engaged in multiple research projects and is published in the International Review of Entrepreneurship, Academy of Management Discovery and CEIBS Business Review. Her research and teaching interests include strategic management, organizational structure design, leadership and team dynamics, HR management and talent management.
Dr. Yu (Robin) Zhang the Associate Director of Strategic Planning & Business
Development at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare (PCH). In this position, he is responsible for
developing growth strategy, identifying business opportunities to maintain PCH’s leading
position in the China market.
Before joining Pfizer, Dr. Zhang served several roles at Bayer Healthcare including: Head
of Business Development (China), Head of Strategic Marketing (China) and acting Head
of Bayer China (Glucose Meter Business Unit). Dr. Zhang gained his professional
experience in Pfizer Rx, IMS Consulting, the Alfred Mann Foundation (US) and UBS
Investment Bank (US).
Dr. Zhang holds a Medical Degree from Peking University. After an Orthopedic Residency
at Peking University First Hospital, he studied at the University of Rochester and became
the first PhD/MBA joint degree student in US history. He graduated from Rochester with
a PhD in Pathology and an MBA in Finance and Healthcare management.
Dr. Zhang is an expert developing corporate and product strategy based on clinical
impact, regulatory, reimbursement/pricing parameters, the competitive environment and
HEOR results. Simone Song, the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs (Asia) Healthcare
IBD, said: “Robin is the best strategist in China pharmaceutical industry.”
Dr. Zhang won the highly prestigious New Investigator Recognition Award (2007) from
the Orthopedic Research Society and is a frequent speaker in key industry conferences.
